Projects
TERRA increases the social and economic welfare of rural and
impoverished Bolivian communities while mitigating impacts from climate
change. TERRA provides financial assistance, technical expertise,
education, and on-going monitoring to develop vital water resources and
to improve the management of natural resources.

- Chiquipata
Baja - Well drilling

- STATUS - completed
- Chiquipata residents were ecstatic when a
high-yield,
artesian aquifer was tapped 47 meters below the surface.
- Cobremayo
- Latrine Construction

- STATUS - completed
- TERRA and a Peace Corps volunteer built dry
latrines
in a town with no bathrooms, improving sanitation and health.
- Jankusaya

Well Drilling and Wind Turbine Pump

- STATUS - completed;
on-going monitoring
- TERRA, Save
the Children, and Jankusaya partnered to drill a 190-foot well that
provides clean dirinking and irrigation water.

University built a greenhouse
to train rural teachers in environmental education.

Computers for Remote Education

- STATUS -

- Terra helped Sewenkani village buy computers for their
school; Sewenkani sold a herd of sheep to help buy
the computers.
