Dangerous Andean Road
About 97% of Bolivian roads are unpaved. In the mountain regions, many of these roads are precariously carved in the steep mountain slopes. On this road, headed to the rural community of Quime, there are several locations where edge falls off precipitously for 500 feet. An Andean bus ride feels much like Russian roulette, given the bald, recycled tires and the general disrepair of the bus.
