Tiwanaku Statue
The Tiwanaku society thrived in the harsh Altiplano for ~500
years, utilizing irrigation channels and
raised bed agriculture to feed a large population. Changes in
climate recorded in ice cores from nearby glaciated mountains might
have lead to their demise.
